Context
Programme context
USHAS focuses on people who arrive at hospital emergency departments in urban Karnataka after self-harm or a suicide attempt. As part of N-SPRITE's prevention work, it looks at how their needs are recognised and how care continues after the first treatment. The study is supported by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka.
Delivery
Datalk's contribution
Datalk built the mobile app and the analysis platform that goes with it. We also delivered the infrastructure and backend that connect the two, and supported the team while the system was in use.
Scope delivered
Mobile application
Built the app that captures the information the project needs.
Analysis platform
Built the environment where the project's information is analysed.
Infrastructure and backend
Set up the technical foundation behind the applications and the data.
Operational support
Gave the team technical help throughout the live period.
What this experience demonstrates
USHAS connects a mobile application and an analysis platform through a shared technical foundation. It is a relevant example for research teams planning how information moves from collection to analysis, with support for the systems involved.
